Why? Because you can! And pickle, and jam, or otherwise celebrate the resurgence of the domestic arts our forebears held so dear. Put on your best apron and step into our kitchen, won't you?
Ya know those spicy pickled cherry peppers numbers, the ones stuffed with sharp provolone and prosciutto that are an integral part of every good antipasto platter and olive bar... Yup I made them and man they were delicious!
A perfectly balanced spicy/sweet barbecue rub that also helps to keep the meat moist and tender with some raw apple cider vinegar. It's really the best ever bbq wet rub... It works well on everything. Seriously, everything.
A beautifully green, garlicky and salty combo that's fantastic drizzled on steak, tossed with potatoes, splashed on greens or even eaten right of the spoon. Hello deliciousness!
I know what you're thinking... who needs a recipe for applesauce?!? But roasting the apples rather than cooking them on the stove really gives this applesauce a much more complex flavor.
This dressing was delicious drizzled on salad but I imagine it would work as well on a hummus and falafel pita or even steamed greens. Garlic, lemon and sesame paste are a combo that cant loose.
